We stayed here as part of our Camino journey and it was one of our favorite places to stay. It was a great European experience - a beautiful, ancient manor house with amazing views of the river between Portugal and Spain. We had a room …
The hotel is great, view from the room is amazing. Also we've got the best dinner in Portugal. But the beakfast was terrible (no fresh juice, no eggs, no coffee). I understand that there was limited amount of guests, but that shouldn't compromise the quality.
The bar was awful! I order a hamburguer and took 3 hours and half to come! The waiter was super rude and blame me for order something. And its too expensive!
Stayed for one night only. Check-in speedy with a reasonably friendly welcome. Room was large and full of character. There were a couple of minor issues with the room, such as rugs which were a bit dirty and out of style with the rest of …
We had to stay over one night in Vila Nova de Cerveira and elected this hotel. The space is beatfull, the staff super friendly, the food was amazing, the views incredible. Great quality for the price. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful views!
As is mentioned, rooms are generally very dated and the ‘comforts’ are a little lacking, at least in the rooms my cousins and I stayed in.
But I was willing to forgive a thin mattress, brown decor and scratchy towel for the incredible space, views and experience that we had as a family. I also have a feeling the main house rooms may be more modern, looking at photos. The grounds are very well maintained - beautiful lawns which receive regular sprinkler action (be aware they come on a couple of times each day, don’t get caught out crossing the lawn!) and the backdrop of the mountains and river is a sight to behold, especially as the sun goes down!
The building itself is beautiful, as is the pool, and staff were friendly to us on our stay. Just don’t go expecting The Ritz, but it was a very pleasant stay for us overall.
Breakfast is a little basic but well provided for the sweet and savoury (and fussy toddler) toothed!
Unfortunately had to cut our first nights meal short as children were too tired, but what we had of the entrée was good!
The house ‘Caipirão’ cocktail was amazing and we sunk a few of those quite easily!
It was the perfect location between Porto and northern Spain (where we were headed for a family wedding) and broke our journey up really well, and afforded us some quality time together before the big day.
Lovely views and classy style. This is Boega Hotel!||The location is lovely, stating on top of Milho river in a lovely property.||The decor is classy and elegant... old style. O like it and very genuine.||The rooms are comfortable with lovely views.||Very calm and good.to relax.
The estate is large and very well preserved.||The main building is really classic and of very good taste.||Rooms there are very spacious. No airconditioning.||Hidden in the trees, there is a recent low building with more rooms.||The views …
